So, it's been awhile...

It's only taken me a month to be able to sit down and write again! I've been thinking about it for the past few weeks but haven't actually had the time to sit down and make it happen. Let's hope I can remember everything that's happened in the last month!

Let's begin with work. I returned to work on September 27th. I anticipated it being difficult, and in many ways it has been. But I think I've become adjusted to being away from her all day. I cherish my evenings and weekends with her, that's for sure. It took her a few weeks to get used to me being away, as well. She is doing great, though! It's been a really great bonding time for her and Eric. She LOVES her daddy. :) It is amazing to me when he gets her to smile and laugh at him when she's fussy, tired, and hungry! Overall, school is going well. I have a really great class and great parents; I feel very lucky.

She is still working on rolling over. I guess the first time was a fluke because she hasn't done it since. I'm thinking the way she was laying on the matress at the time gave her an edge. It is amazing to see how much stronger her muscle get each day. She's really good at holding her head up now. She is also starting to pull herself up. When she's laying in her boppy, she will pull her head up in an attempt to sit up. It's so cute! She is also grasping and holding onto things more and more. She has starting holding some of her toys - rattles and keys - but she doesn't hold onto them for very long. She gains more control over her arms and legs each day it seems. There is less flailing and more controlled movements. It's amazing to me how quickly she learns new things.

She is definitely a little ham. I think she's going to be silly like her daddy. She has started laughing and giggling, and she does it all the time. She is a very happy baby. She also does her fake cough. I find this to be quite funny. She loves to get attention when she coughs, so she will fake cough to get your reaction. So of course, we give her what she's looking for. :) It's super cute. She is also starting to "talk" more. She is becoming quite vocal. Eric and I can't help but laugh when she gets going.

On October 9th, our church had a baby dedication service. It was really nice. They had a slide show of all the babies, and each baby got a Bible with a letter from the elders that they read when they are twelve. Here are a couple of snapshots from the service.

We also took our first trip to the pumpkin patch! It was the first time ever going to a pumpkin patch for all three of us. We bought a few pumpkins for our front porch and got some cute pictures. She was little fussy by the end of the trip, so those pictures make me laugh. :)

We visited the doctor at the beginning of the month. She is "perfect" according to our pediatrician. She was 23 inches long and weighed in at a whopping 11 lbs. 3 oz. She is in the 68th percentile for her length and the 75th percentile for her weight. She also got her 2 month immunizations. She actually did very well with them. When the nurse first stuck her leg with the needle, she got a concerned look on her face...and then let out a big cry! Although it made me a little sad for her, I had to laugh because her reaction was just too funny. She was a bit fussy for 2 or 3 days, but other than that, she handled them great.

Well, I think that about sums up the last month. Next week she will be 3 months old (Nov. 6th)!! Enjoy some pictures from this past month!

She has started holding her hands together...it's so cute when she does it.

She often sucks on her fist in place of her pacifier these days.

Daddy & Cora all ready for the Texans game!

She LOVES her little flower on her carseat. Here she is smiling at it.

This doesn't usually happen at tummy time...guess she was tired!

How cute is this? :)

Super big girl!

Loving the bumbo chair...she sits in it for a few minutes before she gets tired.

Holding on tight to her little toy
