In mid-November, Cora finally remembered how to roll over again! She sometimes still forgets, but if she works long enough, she can get it. Today she started rolling from her back to her tummy. So now she's going all directions! She can get herself moved pretty far off the blanket is she really gets going. :) We'll see if she is still as good tomorrow!
This past month she has discovered her tongue. She started sticking it out at us and playing with it. She did this for the first time as I was leaving for work one morning. It was so cute, and I was almost late to work because I couldn't stop playing with her! She has also started talking a great deal more. She is louder and makes all sorts of new sounds. She can really get going if she is excited or mad! She is laughing even more now. We have so much fun with her, especially when she really gets going. She can get a good belly laugh; it is really one of the most amazing sounds!
She experienced her first Halloween and Thanksgiving. Both were pretty uneventful for her, as she slept through most of them! She is certainly the thing we are most thankful for this year. My mom was able to come for almost two weeks, so it was exciting to have here for Thanksgiving. Miss you, Mom!
She has just started on rice cereal. Her first experience was....not pleasant for her! Every spoonful received a completely disgusted look. It made us laugh, though! Tonight she did really well - no yucky faces and she ate quite a bit of it. She seems to be sleeping better at night since she's started on it. We'll see if it continues.
We are so looking forward to Christmas time this year. We are anxious to celebrate Cora's first Christmas and to take her to Illinois for the first time. She will meet her Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Pia for the first time on Christmas Day...I can't think of a better way to celebrate! We are so grateful for her each and every day. I can't believe sometimes how much better she makes our lives. I am anxious each day to get home to her and see her precious smile and let her tell me about her day! We thank the Lord for blessing us with this amazing child.
So happy! This is what she usually looks like...smiling from ear to ear.
She loves her hands!
I don't think she could be any more precious if she tried.
