Cute Little Schmidt: Painting the Nursery

We decided to go ahead and tackle the big job of getting the baby's room painted. We ordered the furniture, and it's scheduled to arrive any day now. We definitely wanted to be sure to have somewhere to put it when it got here! I helped out with some of the trim work, but I left the rolling and closet painting to Eric & his dad! I am so grateful to Eric's parents for coming to help out. We were able to get it done faster with a few more hands.

There's not much in the room right now - just the rocking chair from Granny & Paw Paw. I will certainly post more pictures once we get the furniture and some more cute baby stuff in there!

I washed the few things we have so far. When I open the closet, it smells like baby. I love it! We have a shower coming up next Sunday in Illinois. I am excited to go home and see everyone. Eric's parents and I will be taking the trip together while Eric is at rehearsal in Amarillo.

This week has been a pretty exciting week in the pregnancy. I felt the baby move! It took me a few days to decide if that's what I was feeling...and I figured since I keep feeling it, it much be the baby! I am so anxious for Eric to be able to feel it moving. I don't look much different yet. I can certainly see my belly getting rounder, and it's also harder, but from the outside, nothing much looks different.

One more note, only 3 more weeks until our next ultrasound! We're hoping to learn the gender!
