It's been an eventful week in our house! Last Sunday evening, Eric & I were sitting at the kitchen table working on thank you's from our shower in Illinois. I was in the middle of writing a note when I felt a soft bump in my tummy. It caught me off guard and took me a second to realize it was the first time I'd really felt her moving! It is so much cooler than the butterflies! I looked at Eric and told him that I'd felt her kick or punch me. He was pretty excited, but he wasn't able to feel her.
On Monday evening she was pretty active. She was moving around ALL evening! The best part: Eric was finally able to feel her moving! It was so exciting; he's been waiting so long to feel her. :) He said it was like a little tiny bump against his hand. It's hard to believe that she's still so tiny when you feel her moving around like that. I swear, it feels like popcorn popping in my tummy!
On Tuesday I only felt her moving a few times throughout the day, but she was active all day yesterday and all day today! Yesterday I told Eric that she's going to take after her daddy. He has a very tough time sitting still (just watch him talk on the phone once - he paces the ENTIRE house the whole time he's talking!).
This has been the most exciting part of the pregnancy for me. It definitely becomes more and more real as new things keep happening. What an amazing thing to know that a tiny human is growing in me. It's times like these that I wonder how people can doubt the existance of God. How incredible our bodies are, and it seems obvious to me that only God could have created such a miraculous process.

isn't it the best?! Enjoy every kick and every punch =) it's the most amazing thing and I miss it!
