My baby girl is a month old!

Where does the time go?! I can't believe Cora is already a month old. She is so different from the little newborn we brought home. This has been a big week of changes for her. Here is what's been going on:

* She is now smiling when she's awake. Last Sunday, she smiled at me for the first time. Now she is smiling all the time, especially when someone is talking to her.
* She is focusing on things now. She loves when people talk to her, and she will give her undivided attention to the person. :) She is seeing so much of the world around her.
* She started turning her head during tummy time. She is up to turning it four times before she gets angry! She is also able to hold her head more steady and up for a longer period of time.
* She's had a second bath in her tub and liked it a lot more than the first one!
* Grandma Ginny and Grandpa came to visit her! She is so interactive with them. I can't believe how big she's getting! They, of course, are head over heels for her!!
* Cora has started feeding from a bottle. She is getting prepared for when I have to go back to work! Last Sunday, Daddy was able to feed her for the first time. She took to the bottle instantly, and she is still willing to breastfeed.
* She took her first trip to Granny & Paw Paw's house in Hondo. We spend Labor Day with them.
* She giggled in her sleep! It was so, so precious!!
* She started cooing and making all sorts of new noises. They are all adorable, of course!
* She has started taking notice of more and more things and is reaching for them. She is trying to grasp ahold of things close to her.

I know I've said it several times already, but I cannot believe how quickly she is growing! I keep asking her to stop getting bigger, but she's not listening to me. :) Eric and I are enjoying each little thing that she learns how to do. Everything is celebrated in our house!

Here are some pictures from this week:

Of course, we had to get a picture with Grandpa in the Chicago Bears outfit.
I don't think he adores her at all....

  1. Erin, she is super cute! And definitely growing fast. Tummy time will turn to crawling and walking before you know it. Love you all!
