We saw the baby again today!

Today marks the start of the 2nd trimester! We also had our appointment today for the Down's Syndrome test. We had a great ultrasound! The baby was very active and kicking quite a bit. We saw and heard its heartbeat. The technician doing the ultrasound said everything looked really good. All measurements were good. It has two arms and two legs! Yippee! It's nasal bone is developed - she said that was a really good sign because in Down's babies it is typically not present or is shorter. I also had a blood test done with it. We will find out the results at the next appointment, which is in two weeks.

I have started wearing maternity pants. I was getting a little uncomfortable, so I had to give in! I was able to make it for about a week with the elastic band you can wear with your regular pants before I had to break down and go shopping. My mother-in-law and I had fun shopping together.

Finally, I believe we have settled on the nursery decor and color. We have chosen the Bumble collection by Carters - super cute. We will be painting the nursery green. I'm getting anxious to get started!
