Friday we had a quick check-up with the doctor. My BP was 124/80, and I gained a pound and a half. My mom was in town visiting, so she was able to go with us to the doctor and hear Cora's heartbeat. She really enjoyed that! Our next visit will be full of more testing, as well as checking to see if I'm dilated and effaced at all.
Overall, I'm feeling good. I am taking my iron pills, so I feel quite a bit more energetic. Plus I'm not working, which is a nice bonus. :) We are working hard to get the nursery finished (I will post more pictures when it's done) up and the house organized before she gets here. It's coming along pretty well. Eric has finished painting the cabinets in the kitchen (they look great), and today we were working on organizing the garage.
We celebrated Father's Day for both Eric and his dad this year. We took his parents and my mom out to eat. Eric got some cards and a new picture frame!
This past Sunday, we had our fourth of five showers. This one was with our church family. We also had some friends from Eric's parents church come to spend the afternoon with us, which was great. It was a great afternoon, and I was so glad my mom got to be here for it! We are certainly blessed beyond belief. We have been given most everything that we need to be ready for this baby girl to arrive. Thank you to our amazing church family for all of your love and support! We are SO, SO grateful for you!

Where are we going to put all this stuff?!

Sorry we had to miss the shower, Kaitlyn was especially sad (she was on her way to ACU to camp)to miss it. Looks like it was great. Be sure to use all those cute clothes even if you worry they might get ruined because you will be lucky to get one or two wearings out of them before Cora outgrows them. So happy for you and Eric and can't wait to meet Miss Cora!
ReplyDeleteWow loved the blanket and the picture board, you're good at that. Glad to see everything is going well for you and Eric.
