...and waiting...and waiting...and waiting...

We saw the doc again today. Big surprise - no changes, except that she has finally droppped. Even the doctor was disappointed this time. He was hoping with enough time that she's come on her own. My BP was a little high today, so that had him slightly concerned. So....he scheduled us to be induced next week. Whether she likes it or not, Cora will be here next week! If she hasn't come on her own yet, we will go in next Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. They will give me a suppository to help soften my cervix before trying to start contractions. The following morning around 6 a.m., they will start the Pitocin to get things started. If all goes well, she will be born on Wednesday. If she still decides not to come after being induced, then he will do a c-section. I am praying that she comes before we have to be induced, but it's nice to know that either way, she will be here next week. We are definitely praying that a c-section won't be necessary, but I know it will be ok if that's the way we have to go.

Please be praying that all goes well and that she is born healthy! We are so anxious to meet our little girl and see her precious face.

Here are a few belly shots from the past weeks. My tummy is definitely lower now than in these pictures.

39 weeks

In other news, I am working hard to get things ready for the start of the school year. That would certainly be made easier if I knew when to expect this little girl, but I'm managing anyway. :) I will be off work until September 27th, but I want to be sure to have things all ready to go for my sub! What a crazy way to start a new school year!! Eric is keeping busy this summer teaching at the high school and the college. He is almost finished with his summer semester and will have a week off before the fall semester starts. Once the fall semester starts, he will be working 2 1/2 days, so he will be able to stay home with Cora on most days. I am so thankful that between Daddy and Granny, Cora will be able to stay home and not have to go to daycare.

Well, that's the news for now. We promise to keep things updated as we welcome Cora into the world!
